Turn a walk outside into a discovery. This is a done-for-you, 12-week plan for guiding an 8–12-year-old from noticing their first tree, cloud, and track to leading a real backyard expedition and reporting back to the family — using an AI tutor to do the explaining while you do the leading. You do not need to be a naturalist.

  7. Sun, Moon, and a Few Stars

Who it's for

Parents, teachers, and homeschoolers guiding a learner aged roughly 8–12 who'd rather be outside than on a screen — or who needs a nudge to get there. No naturalist background needed, and no AI experience needed either — you lead one ~60-minute session each week, fully scripted: every step is timed and every AI prompt is written for you.

Why this instead of a free chatbot

A raw chatbot will happily just name the tree, the bird, or the cloud for your learner — which teaches nothing and keeps them staring at a phone instead of the sky. This pack ships the structure a chatbot lacks: a real 12-week arc from first glance to a real expedition, Socratic prompts that make the tutor ask "what do you notice?" before it tells, a safety guardrail that keeps hands off wild plants and animals, and checkpoints that prove the learner can read the outdoors themselves. Curriculum + guardrails + a reason to look up. That's the difference.

Safety first

An adult supervises every outdoor session in this program, start to finish — choosing safe locations, minding water, heat, sun, wildlife, and terrain, and deciding what's okay to touch. Children should never taste wild plants or berries, and should never approach or touch wild animals; observation is always from a safe distance.
