Grow a Garden — A 12-Week Guide to Growing Plants and Food With an AI Tutor.
Turn a windowsill or a backyard corner into a whole season of learning. This is a
done-for-you, 12-week plan for guiding a 7–11-year-old from planting their first seed all
the way to harvesting real food and giving the family a garden tour — using an AI tutor to
do the explaining while you do the leading and the supervising. You do not need a green
thumb to use this guide.
What you get
- A "Never used an AI chat assistant? Start here" onboarding that takes about five
minutes: how to open a free AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Gemini all work)
and get it ready for your first session — no account history or prior experience assumed.
- Four rescue prompts in the front matter for the moments every parent hits: the learner
is frustrated, bored, stuck, or the AI's answer misses the mark.
- 12 deep weekly sessions, each built to run in about 60 minutes and fully scripted:
a plain-language concept explanation, a concrete worked example, a minute-by-minute session
plan, copy/paste AI-tutor prompts at every step, a "show me" checkpoint so you always know
it landed, a list of common mistakes to watch for, and practice to lock it in.
- A digital guide — no expertise needed on your part. You lead; every step is timed and
every AI prompt is already written for you.

Who it's for
Parents, teachers, and homeschoolers guiding a learner aged roughly 7–11 who is ready to
grow something real, not just look at pictures of plants. No gardening experience
needed, and no prior AI experience needed either — you lead one ~60-minute session each
week, fully scripted, with every step timed and every AI prompt already written for you.
Why this instead of a free chatbot
A raw chatbot will happily rattle off plant facts and move on — which teaches nothing about
patience or responsibility. This pack ships the structure a chatbot lacks: a real
12-week arc that follows one growing season from seed to harvest, Socratic prompts that make
the tutor ask before it tells, a guardrail that keeps tools and tasting adult-only, and
checkpoints that prove the learner can explain and demonstrate what's happening in their own
garden. Curriculum + guardrails + a way to see progress. That's the difference.
FAQ
- Do I need any gardening experience? No. The AI tutor explains the plant science; you
lead by showing up and supervising. Every session comes with the exact prompt to start it.
- Which AI does it use? What if I've never used one? Works with any modern AI assistant
— ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Gemini — and the free version of any of them is enough; no
paid plan required. If you've never opened an AI chat before, the guide's first section
walks you through setup in about five minutes before Week 1 begins.
- Is my child's data collected? No. This is a digital guide sold to you, the adult.
There's no login and no child account — you start and supervise every AI session yourself,
under your own account.
- Is this safe? Who's responsible if something goes wrong? You are — the adult
supervises the entire time this guide is in use. Keep children away from power tools,
sharp implements, and any fertilizer or pesticide; those are adult-only, always. Never let
a child eat any plant, berry, or mushroom that you haven't positively identified as safe,
mind sun exposure and allergies, and stop the moment you're unsure. You assume all risk
when following this guide.
- What if we don't have a yard? A sunny windowsill or balcony and a few pots is enough
for every week in this pack.
- What ages? Roughly 7–11. Age-banded variants are on the roadmap.
- Refunds? Standard marketplace refund policy applies.
